California Watchable Wildlife Project
Bob Garrison is the Chair of the California Watchable Wildlife Steering Committee. California has over 200 viewing sites in its network. The committee also works to promote wildlife festivals in California and other western states as an economic development strategy for rural communities.
Watchable Wildlife, Inc.
Bob Garrison is a founding Board member of Watchable Wildlife, Inc., a nationwide organization devoted to advancing wildlife viewing as a viable economic and conservation enterprise for communities throughout Canada, the United States and Mexico.
Hawaii Watchable Wildlife
Bob Garrison is the project manager for the recently established Hawaii Watchable Wildlife Project. Hawaii is the 44th state to join the nationwide Watchable Wildlife network. The Hawaii Wildlife Viewing Guide was published in February, 2006, with an innovative new design, many colorful photos and an emphasis on the cultural significance of wildlife to native Hawaiians.
Agritourism and Nature Tourism in California
Revised in 2005, this publication aids farmers and ranchers interested in establishing an agritourism enterprise. Produced by the U.C. Davis Small Farm Center, Davis, CA, where Bob Garrison serves as nature tourism advisor.
